President's Message

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE 

The Buick Rod and Custom Association was formed in August of 2013 by Pete Nathan and myself. We both had been members of the Buick Street Rod Association which folded in July of 2013 after 20 years in existence. I received a huge number of phone calls and emails wanting a new club to replace the old one. Pete was at the forefront and volunteered his help in starting the new organization. After a great deal of discussion, we formed the Buick Rod and Custom Association with the goal of bringing people together who have a common interest in Buick cars. We are a nonprofit organization. I am the President and newsletter editor, my wife Rhonda is the Secretary and Treasurer, Chet Palumbo is Vice President and Dennis Gruse is Event Director.  Currently the Webmaster position is open.

We organize one National Tour a year. The event centers around one location with a series of day trips to local points of interest. These can be museums, private car collections, antique stores, factories etc. Past locations include Kentucky Lake, South Bend, IN, The Wisconsin Dells, Dayton, OH, Kalamazoo, MI, Lexington, KY and others. The tour is scheduled for early June of each year. Personally, these are my all-time favorite events. 

We publish a quarterly newsletter with an average of 40 pages in full color. Articles include tech stories, event coverage, car features, and road trips. Also included is a for sale and wanted section. 

Membership includes the newsletter, a window decal and participation in the National Tour. You will find a membership application on this website you can download and mail in or email it in.
